You can tell your friends about the do's and dont's in your computer when they login in your absence. Well you can do it pretty easily by displaying a legal notice at system start up. To set up notice follows those steps:
1. Open registry editor. To open registry editor open Run and type regedit then press enter.
2. Go to following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mic
rosof
t\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
3. Double click on legalnoticecaption from r
ight panel and type your notice caption then press Ok.
4. Double click on legalnoticetext from right panel and type your notice for your friend who will use this computer then press Ok.
5. Close registry editor.
6. Restart your computer.
1. Open registry editor(+R)
2. Go to following path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
3. Create a new Dword value and type the name NoViewOnDrive.
4. Double click on it and select decimal then put a value as per following rule:
If you want to lock drive a then put 1, if you want to lock drive B then put 4, for drive C put 8, for drive D put 16 and so on. If you want to lock all drive then put 67108863.
If you lock any two or three drive then put the summation value for those drive. Ex. If you lock drive D and F then put 80 (16+64). 16 for drive D and 64 for drive F.
5. Press Ok.
6. Close registry editor.
7. Restart your computer.
To unlock remove the value.
1. Insert the 4GB pen drive in the appropriate port.
2. Format it as NTFS system.
You can hide your important file into an image file. To do this you need any zip software. To hide follow those steps:
1. Zipped your important file and put it in an empty folder.
2. Copy an image file and put it in same folder.
1. Open Run(ΓΏ +R)
2. Go to following path
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop
3. Create a new string key named “Wallpaper”.
You can add 'Command prompt here' option to context menu or right click menu.
1. Open Run. (Windows + R)
2. Type ‘regedit’ without quotes and press enter. (This will open Registry edit)
3. Go to following path:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory
